Spike Lee announced the music video for The Marshall Mathers LP 2 single “Headlights” will be released on Mother’s Day.
Lee expressed his excitement for what himself and Eminem created back in Eminem’s hometown of Detroit:
“I really love the narrative for what we’ve come up together for “Headlights”. It’s a great story. It’s heartfelt.
Some pain in it. But, that’s life and that’s why we’re here back in 8 Mile Detroit. Shooting where it all took place.”
Canada’s self-proclaimed hip hop ambassador, whose new album Impact is expected for release on Nov. 14 2014, has new role as creative executive director of Universal Music Canada’s A&R team. Offishall is in a position as one of the biggest players in the music industry specifically working to discover and develop new groups. Offishall has demonstrated skills and genuine interest in raising young talent.

A family drama about a hip-hop business empire from filmmaker Lee Daniels will be part of Fox’s 2014-15 TV season.
Daniels (“Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” “Precious”) is writing, directing and producing “Empire,” starring Terence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, Fox said.
The series will feature original music and covers of current songs.
Adult Swim announced that they have teamed up with the #1 urban site to develop a new pilot for the network.
Adult Swim is collaborating with the urban website World Star Hip Hop on a new comedy pilot that will explore the sex, music and random street-fight-filled world of World Star. The show will be a spin off of WSHH as a live-action-single-cam comedy that will also feature celebrity guests. The pilot will be executive produced by WorldStar’s founder, Q, and Devon Shepard, who has also produced MadTV and House of Lies.
This live-action single camera pilot, which is as of yet untitled, is executive produced by site founder Q WorldStar and Devon Shepard (“House of Lies,” “MadTV”). It will be inspired by the frenetic energy of World Star, which has grown from a niche outlet covering hip-hop culture into a thriving site that draws 30 million unique videos a month.
