The Warriors, a gritty 1979 movie about gang warfare on the mean streets of New York City. More than 5,000 diehard fans of the cult classic turned out for a cast reunion at Coney Island.
Warriors Reunion 2015. It’s history. It’s Hollywood history. It’s Bronx history. It’s Coney Island history.
36 years after its debut, The Warriors film is being honored with what could be its final in-person celebration. This Sunday, September 13, the film’s cast will reunite at the place where the movie’s climactic sequence unfolds: the Surf Pavilion on Coney Island. The reunion will include members of the titular Warriors gang as well as actors from the film’s memorable antagonist crews like the Baseball Furies, all of whom will rock their The Warriors costumes and makeup one last time. For the fans, there will be autograph signings, meet-and-greet sessions, a cosplay contest, and musical performances. As a bonus to top the event off, there’s also a screening of the movie.

So the scoring of Mr Money’s victory falls deeper into question.
American website & Boxing news 24 sat down to watch fight again & decided to tally every punch and came up with startling statistics.
Figures suggest the mega fight could have been scored 114-114 which would mean a DRAW , considering that pacquiao was the ” aggressor ” the entire fight similar to how Marcos Maidana was in both fights against mayweather.
Floyd mayweather decided to give Marcos Maidana a rematch after overwhelming booing & chanting in the arena after the controversial decision in there 1st fight. Marcos maidana did what every fan boxing wanted to see a fighter do against mayweather throw punches & go after mayweather , marcos maidana was clearly the aggressor in both fights & dominated as well , a statistic overlooked it seems by the judges.
Being aggressive gives the impression of dominance, but unless the boxer is landing shots and not constantly getting countered, it’s not exactly “effective.” Judges look for effective aggression, where the aggressor consistently lands his punches and avoids those from his opponent.
The fighter who controls the action and enforces his will and style.
How well is a boxer slipping, parrying, and blocking punches? Good defense is important. But running is not defense & could have a negative effect on score card.
To the untrained eye, it can appear as if a boxer is landing a lot of shots, when, in fact, most are being blocked or aren’t landing flush. A judge needs to look for hard shots that land clean.
One dedicated website in America, Boxing news 24 , had there leading commentators sit down to monitor the video, 1st at actual speed, then in slow motion, frame by frame.
Official fight statistics, which among other anomalies proclaimed that Pacquiao had connected with less than 20 per cent of his total punches and only 9% of his jabs.
So they decided to tally every blow and in so doing came up with startling numbers which multiply long-standing doubts about the validity of the punch stats, as well as concerns about the verdict itself.
According to Boxing News 24, Mayweather threw 471 punches in comparison to Pacquiao’s 414
For what it’s worth this fight was a Draw : 115-115
These are multiple website tallies, calibrated round-by-round according to punches thrown, punches landed, the score for each round, with Mayweather’s stats first:
The conclusions here include:
1) The fight was far closer than the judges, especially Moretti, and most pundits perceived
2) Many rounds were exceptionally difficult if not too close to call.
3) The punch stats as counted in the heat of the night are profoundly suspect !!
One US commentator who had Pacquaio winning asked if they were compiled by ‘kids from the HBO and Showtime offices’ and was told ‘Yes.
4) Pacquiao’s claim that he had won the fight was reasonable, not outrageous as the in-ring interviewer implied.
5) If watching on television, maybe better to mute the sound commentary.
6) Mayweather is very wise to keep insisting on home-town advantage in Las Vegas, which benefits from the huge economic impact of his fights.
These were the final tallies of the three official judges, all in favor of Mayweather: Glenn Feldman 116-112. Burt Clements 116-112. Dave Moretti 118-110
