In an effort to continue his Justice or Else campaign, Minister Louis Farrakhan made a stop in the motor city and met up with none other then Marshall Mathers himself Eminem. The 2 have been talking for over a decade and they finally met for dinner in Detroit.
While in Detroit, Farrakhan spoke at the Fellowship Chapel church and says that he will continue to visit churches all around the country that will lead up to the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March.
On “R.N.S. (Real Ni**a Shit),” produced by araabMUZIK and Just Blaze, the hip-hop supergroup goes in for the kill with a round of rapid-fire verses. Joell Ortiz kicks things off followed by Joe Budden. Crooked I reps his city of Long Beach and Royce da 5’9″ brings it home with some explosive bars.
The Southpaw soundtrack drops July 24 on Shady Records/Interscope. In addition to executive producer Eminem and Slaughterhouse, the compilation features Bad Meets Evil, The Weeknd, 50 Cent, Action Bronson, and Joey Bada$$.
“Phenomenal” is the first single off the SouthPaw soundtrack, due July 24. The compilation was executive produced by Eminem and features a collaboration between Em and Gwen Stefani, plus contributions from Bad Meets Evil, 50 Cent, Action Bronson, Slaughterhouse, and The Weekend.
Eminem earned 2 digital diamond awards for his “Not Afraid” and “Love The Way You Lie” singles.
“Love The Way You Lie,” which features Rihanna, is 11x platinum, while “Not Afraid” is 10 times platinum.
Eminem also has two albums that have sold more than 10 million units, 2000’s The Marshall Mathers LP and 2002’s The Eminem Show.
Spike Lee announced the music video for The Marshall Mathers LP 2 single “Headlights” will be released on Mother’s Day.
Lee expressed his excitement for what himself and Eminem created back in Eminem’s hometown of Detroit:
“I really love the narrative for what we’ve come up together for “Headlights”. It’s a great story. It’s heartfelt.
Some pain in it. But, that’s life and that’s why we’re here back in 8 Mile Detroit. Shooting where it all took place.”
