Come March 2014, the holy trinity of hip-hop radio will be live daily on the New #1 Name In Music.
THE BREAKFAST CLUB ON REVOLT …..
What is revolutionary to you?
Is it changing predetermined rules and writing your own? Is it overcoming perceived obstacles and emerging victorious in the face of adversity? Or is it finding kindred spirits in assumed competitors and teaming up to win together?
No matter how you define revolutionary, REVOLT is it, and in our nearly two months on the air, we haven’t stopped doing the unexpected.
In keeping with our freshly established tradition, we’re proud to announce our partnership with Clear Channel Media and Entertainment in bringing the nationally-syndicated, award-winning “The Breakfast Club” radio show to REVOLT.
Effective March 31, 2014, the always-hilarious, controversial, and culture-shifting show, which stars hosts Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy, will be televised live on REVOLT every morning from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. EST, and again from 6-9 a.m. PST as an encore for the West Coast.
“Starting our day with ‘The Breakfast Club’ brings three more hours of live daily programming to REVOLT’s already expansive real time coverage of music, music news and culture each day,” says Andy Schuon, President and co-founder of REVOLT, about the partnership.
Since its December 2010 launch on Clear Channel’s Power 105 radio station in New York, “The Breakfast Club” – widely considered among the top urban radio shows on the air today – has enjoyed major success, including being named the No. 1 radio program in the nation by The Source.
Delving into the importance of the partnership between REVOLT and Clear Channel, John Sykes, President of Entertainment Enterprises for Clear Channel says, “Taking this award-winning show and extending its reach to television reinforces Clear Channel position as a preeminent multiplatform entertainment company. We are a company that creates incredible, original content every day and we are excited to partner on this with a true visionary like Sean Combs.”
“Adding radio as a medium to the REVOLT arsenal will help push the traditional boundaries of music on television and expand our reach even further with millions of new listeners and viewers, which is incredible for a fledgling network,” adds REVOLT CEO Keith Clinkscales.
Needless to say, we couldn’t be more excited about the partnership, and can’t wait to see and hear the magic the comedic and curatorial geniuses behind “The Breakfast Club” cook up in the new year. As you wait patiently for March 31, check out the trio’s #IAMREVOLT profile below.
